On February 29, 2024, Full Professor Emina Berbić Kolar, PhD, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, participated in the thematic session of the Health and Social Policy Committee of the Croatian Parliament titled "Challenges of Educational Rehabilitation - From Screening to Care." The thematic session was organised ahead of the National Day of Educational Rehabilitators on March 1, and the initiator for holding the thematic session was the Croatian Chamber of Educational Rehabilitators.
Educational rehabilitation, as a regulated profession and one of the professions whose work involves monitoring and working with people with disabilities in all systems, starting from healthcare, education, and social care, deals with the assessment and improvement of functional abilities. At the thematic session, representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Educational Rehabilitators presented the current state and needs of the educational rehabilitation profession, all with the aim of more effective functioning of the system and improving access to services guaranteed to people with disabilities.
